Creation of panorama screenshots for App Store and Google Play marketing.
Brief
The app section in the App and Google stores is being updated to align with best practise, including copy and app screenshot visuals. A great opportunity to bring the design to life and focus on some of Cult Beauty's best app features.

Old version
Old version had haphazardly been made from regular screenshot of the app with little context about the features or any additional visual engagement.

First version
After some time spent researching the top apps and competitors, I noticed a common trend of panorama screenshots being used. Panorama screenshots is a growing trend in App Store and Google Play marketing, presenting a neat and fluid call-to-action for prospective users.
Due to time constraints for this brief, imagery was resorted to generic inhouse images, of which I was mostly interested in images that could create a seamless and interesting journey in the background while the important content could be front and center.

In the end there was two versions sent out to the wider team for feedback.

Amends
Agreed across the board that the grey version would ultimately be the best way forward with its more luxurious feel yet engaging close ups of swatches.

The wishlist page had an update, retorting away from the app's in-use visual and instead showing products liked by our customers the most for engaging content.

Copy was reduced substantially.

Final result
Finally the design was approved after some further amends, with two more sizes being made to accommodate both App Store and Google store's preferences for dimensions, along with a tablet design as well.

The wider business was impressed by the new design and decided that all app-related communication would use a similar design going forward.
