Redesign of monthly press releases for Cult Beauty.
Brief
The press releases template is in need of a redesign, it's time to bring in a breath of fresh air while remaining consistent to Cult Beauty's latest brand guidelines.

Old version
Old version had a few hiccups: it was often very long due to how copy had been placed, it was solely focusing on web application and often had to be redesigned for print material when needed.

Process
One of the challenges was the different length of paragraphs for copy. I came up with a solution to split copy into two columns. Sections which had a lot of copy could spill into two columns, while sections with less copy could have an additional image for added creativity but also information. Thus the hero image's height and width could remain consistent.

Fonts were updated to accommodate the new brand guidelines.

Final template
The redesign was approved straight away, not bad for a 2 hour job. The new template keeps the images consistent in terms of height and length, can easily be scaled up and down for devices although the output is generally a pdf shared with Newsdesk.
Furthermore, the design can easily have the sections split out onto pages to create a print-friendly version.
